At Design Gallery in Roseville, northeast of Sacramento, a Cove dishwasher runs mid-cycle during visits, and the demonstration asks nothing of you except that you stand beside it and listen.

A cycle you walk in on
The Cove is not switched on for effect when a visitor appears. It runs during visits and events, so the machine you meet is a machine at work, which is the honest condition to meet a dishwasher in. You stand at the counter, hold a conversation at normal volume, and notice how little the room asks you to raise your voice.
Nobody recites a sound rating here. Quietness is demonstrated rather than declared, and you leave with your own verdict instead of a number remembered from a brochure.
Racks are for hands
Ask, and the racks come out. Pull them, slide them, load them, and check the spacing against the way your kitchen actually works. If one pan at home never fits anywhere, bring it along. Rack questions get settled by handling, and handling is what a showroom floor is for.
Set into cabinetry, the way it will live
The demonstration unit sits inside the working kitchen at the center of the showroom, built flush into a run of DreamLine Custom Cabinetry. That placement is deliberate. A dishwasher is heard through the cabinetry around it and seen against the doors beside it, so meeting one inside a finished run tells you more than meeting it on a riser. The same room holds Sub-Zero refrigeration and a Wolf range, which means a single visit can settle the whole appliance conversation.

Yes. It runs during visits and events, often mid-cycle. The point of the trip is a working machine, not a sealed display.
How quiet is it really?
