Kohler
Kohler is the name the American bathroom grew up around. Sinks, faucets, toilets, showering systems and its signature enameled cast iron have been made under the Kohler name since John Michael Kohler put the family name on his work in 1873, in the Wisconsin town that still carries it.
That heritage matters most where you touch it. In the Gallery, Kohler is the bath side of a serious home: the weight of a cast iron basin, the throw of a rain shower, the finish of a faucet under warm light. These are pieces you use every day for years, and a few minutes in front of them tells you more than any catalog page.

The founding story is almost a parable. Kohler's move into plumbing began when the company enameled a cast iron trough and offered it as a bathtub, and that instinct, to make the practical beautiful and the beautiful durable, still runs through the line. The company remains family held and headquartered in Kohler, Wisconsin, which is unusual at its scale and helps explain the long view it takes on design.
What that buys a designer is range without a drop in register: complete bath and wellness suites, bold color where a room wants it, quiet neutrals where it does not. Stand at a Kohler vignette here, work a faucet handle, and judge the fit and finish the way your client eventually will, by hand.
