Elica
Elica is the specialist in the part of the kitchen most brands treat as an afterthought: ventilation. Its Italian-designed hoods are built to work as architecture, not apology.
That focus produced the NikolaTesla Flux, an induction cooktop with extraction built in. Seen in person, a hood becomes a design object rather than a duct, and extraction can disappear into the cooking surface itself.

Elica was founded in 1970 in Fabriano, Italy by Ermanno Casoli, and has specialized in kitchen extraction ever since. The company describes itself as a global leader in the field, which is its claim to make rather than ours.
Designed in Italy, the range runs from wall and island hoods to downdraft and outdoor models, plus the extraction-integrated cooktops. The pleasure of it is how little you hear, and how much of the engineering hides where a kitchen rarely rewards a second look.
