Miele
Miele has been a family company since 1899, when Carl Miele and Reinhard Zinkann built their first machines and wrote a single promise on them: Immer Besser, forever better.
That promise is easy to state and hard to keep. In the Gallery you can test it directly, across ovens, coffee systems, cooktops and dishwashers built to be lived with for years.

More than a century on, Miele still belongs to descendants of its two founders, which is unusual in an industry of conglomerates and helps explain the long view the brand takes.
Appliances are put through extended endurance testing before they reach a kitchen, and the German engineering shows in how the doors close and the controls respond. Open a steam oven here, weigh it in your hand, and see whether forever better holds up to the touch.
The Miele you weigh in your hand
Miele sells its appliances on endurance, and endurance is a promise you can only partly read on a floor and never from a page. What you can read is the build that endurance is supposed to come from: how a door falls shut, how a dial answers, how a coffee system is finished where you touch it every morning. On our floor you can open a Miele oven and a steam oven, work the controls, and judge the fit that Immer Besser, forever better, is meant to stand behind.
The Miele range on our floor
Miele builds across the kitchen and the utility room, and seeing the family together is the point:
built-in ovens and combination steam ovens, the heart of the Miele kitchen.
the built-in coffee machines Miele is known for, finished to match the ovens beside them.
induction, gas and modular surfaces for a cooktop-and-wall-oven layout.
fully integrated dishwashers built to run quietly and disappear into the cabinetry.
built-in refrigeration and the laundry machines Miele has made since its earliest days.
Every Miele on the floor is put in front of you to be handled, which is the honest test of a brand that sells endurance.
Specifying Miele with our team
For a designer, Miele is the brand that keeps a kitchen consistent from the oven to the coffee machine to the dishwasher, all in one visual language. Bring your plans and our team can walk you from the appliance suite to the panels and rough-in, and you can host a client in the room while the ovens are working. See For Designers for how a working partnership begins.

What does Immer Besser mean?
Immer Besser is Miele's founding promise, rendered in English as forever better. Miele says its two founders wrote it on their first machines in 1899, and the brand still uses it to describe an approach built on quality and endurance rather than novelty.
Can I see Miele appliances at the showroom before I specify them?
Yes. Miele is installed on our Roseville floor in finished cabinetry. You can open the ovens and steam ovens, work a coffee system, and judge the build in person, which matters most for a brand sold on how long it lasts.
Is Miele still a family company?
Yes. Carl Miele and Reinhard Zinkann founded it in 1899, and their descendants still own it, which is unusual at its scale.
What Miele products can I see on the floor?
Built-in ovens and steam ovens, coffee systems, cooktops, dishwashers and refrigeration, shown integrated into finished cabinetry alongside the laundry machines the brand has built since its early years.
Do you work with designers on Miele kitchens?
Yes. Our team helps designers specify a coordinated Miele suite, down to the panels and the rough-in, with a client present while the ovens work. See the For Designers page.
